She blamed Blisk because he put her dad in that situation, not because Cooper killed Viper.Ĭooper (and hopefully BT) left to live out their days resting, watching the sun rise on a grateful universe. Valk, like Blisk, knew that that's the cost of being a mercenary. Ya, his team was wiped by 1 guy and his Titan, but those were the risks involve with being a paid gun, and it showed Cooper was Predator material (though who knows if he was, or if it was BT that elevated them). She's more focused on removing her human side, which involves destroying things from her past.Īs for Blisk, he respected Cooper, which is why he doesn't kill him in the end. Ash is pissed she lost, but that's about it. Pathfinder's Quest sheds some light into how BT and Jack were hailed "Heroes of the Frontier", but like most of the Militia, they just went back to their lives pre-war.īlisk and Ash know it wasn't personal. Not everyone wants to keep fighting, some only did it because they felt they had to. She remembers stuff now, but that was only after her memory was “unlocked” by the codes that Horizon used on herĪpex takes place years after the war. Even when revived, I don’t think she’d know - didn’t simulacrums explicitly have deaths excluded from their programming? They just think they’re regular humans, things like “being killed” are exactly the sort of things that would be removed from their memory. Even people in the army don’t really keep track of that - soldiers being pretty faceless and unremarkable is fairly normal in real life too, even the extremely competent onesĪlso Ash wouldn’t know Jack killed Viper - at least not firsthand. Maybe notable for some actions in battle, but could you really name the top soldiers in the US army right now? I sure couldn’t. Jack may seem like a huge figure to us, but he’s one of many, many militia pilots. When someone is killed in war, it’s rare to know exactly who did it. Ash was out of commission for the overwhelming majority of this time, and there’s a good chance Valk has no idea specifically who killed Viper.

Never again." Are we seriously meant to believe neither Ash or Blisk never make more attempts to hunt down Jack? And remember, Jack killed Viper during the events of the TF2 campaign (Viper) so is that supposed to just remain a mystery in Valkyrie's backstory?īlisk didn’t care, he explicitly didn’t kill Jack at the end because “it wasn’t in his contract”.

I mean, we know for a fact that Ash is still mad about her loss to Jack in the voice line "Only once have i failed to kill a target. Jack not even getting an explicit mention from Valkyrie or not even Ash is especially confusing to me. I don't believe that the Militia war and the events of Apex Legends happen during the same time as shown with titans not appearing in Apex, with only one expectation during Valkyrie's backstory (I think.) For those who don't know, during the final events of Titanfall 2 Cuban Blisk invites Jack to become a part of the Apex Predator team and later on Jack is shown to still be fighting with the Militia until the end of the war. I mean I really don't see why Respawn would just completely leave him out of Apex altogether. What happened to Jack Cooper between the events of Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends? So I mainly play Titanfall and have started to look into this game and there's always been one question that I don't get:
